And the winners are...

The Google Cloud Gemini Hackathon has officially come to a close, and we are thrilled to announce the winners!
This year's hackathon saw an impressive turnout with 1,344 participants from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The creativity and innovation on display were truly inspiring. Participants were challenged to build groundbreaking applications using the Gemini API, tackling critical issues in security, sovereignty, sustainability, and the smart use of data and AI.
After careful deliberation, our judges have selected the following winners:
1st Place: CogniPath
CogniPath is an AI-powered educational platform designed to help children, including those with autism, improve their communication and emotional intelligence. It uses Gemini to create interactive stories, analyze essays, and provide real-time feedback, with a parent dashboard to track progress. CogniPath aims to create a more inclusive and engaging learning experience for all children.
2nd Place: Gemini Radio
Gemini Radio empowers communities with limited internet access by turning handwritten letters into informative podcast episodes. Using AI, the platform analyzes letters and generates podcasts with virtual hosts who answer questions and share local news and weather. This innovative approach utilizes existing technologies like postal mail and radio to bridge the digital divide and make information accessible to all.
3rd Place: Nexusai
NexusAI is an AI-powered virtual assistant that enhances communication by screening calls, identifying potential scammers, and providing 24/7 support. It uses Gemini for AI processing, Twilio for call management, and ElevenLab for realistic voice interactions, offering businesses and individuals a safer and more efficient communication experience. NexusAI can also escalate important calls to a human and offers embeddable chatbots for business websites.
